Blog about books, reading and life!

The majority of my posts will be updating everyone on what books I’ve read but everything from chasing  my disobedient dogs to trying out new recipes, to drowning my sorrows with wine (happens a lot) will make an appearance!
Read, leave comments, maybe offer a few suggestions!

Okay, so I started this blog about six months ago, did one post and then abandoned it. This is a common theme with me which I am trying to rectify so bear with me!

My original intention was to write about my life, my experiences, etc. That was until I realised that I am not all that interesting! However, I do love to read and I do love to write which is why I’ve decided to start reviewing books on here. To be honest, I can’t believe I didn’t think of this before – how utterly dim of me. Before I start with the reviewing,  I’m going to give you a little background so you can get a feel for the type of person I am which I think is important as it will give you an insight into the type of books I like to read.

Writing about myself has always been somewhat of a daunting task for me. I guess I’m just an ordinary twenty-four year old woman, though I can’t quite believe I’m approaching my mid-twenties with no direction in life whatsoever!

Anyway, I would say the first thing you should know about me is that I’m a dog person. I have two dogs that drive me insane, and I’m pretty sure I drive my friends and family more insane by managing to bring every conversation back around to the dogs. I know I do this, but I can’t stop! As I mentioned above I do love to read. Currently,  I only read books with a happily ever after endings – this may seem a bit naïve, but I am a firm believer that life can throw a lot of crap at you, why depress yourself even further?

I do, however, want to broaden my own knowledge, and try a couple of different genres out this year which I will give feedback on as I go.

There is nothing particularly exciting about my life, but I suspect a lot of people have that thought. Lately, I just feel that I need a focus. So my blog is about exploring my own passion for reading and writing, whilst hopefully giving fellow readaholics some noteworthy suggestions.

So if you fancy having a read go ahead, don’t be afraid to comment and share your own reading experiences!
